The film takes inspiration from the textures and emotional proximity of Biutiful and A Prophet, where the world feels lived-in, imperfect and physical. The goal is for the camera to observe the characters almost like a witness, so when the spiritual dimension appears it feels disturbing because it emerges inside a world that looks completely real.
